Terms and Conditions of Sale – Online services
1. Purpose
These terms and conditions of sale define the rights and obligations of “Lis et écris en français !” and its individual clients in the context of selling online chat sessions for learning French.
2. Services Provided
The services consist of chat-based conversation sessions, including or not corrections, explanations, and personalized advice, based on the selected package. Sessions have a limited time and don’t give any right to support outside of sessions.
3. Booking and Payment
- No service will be provided without advance payment.
4. Right of Withdrawal
- In accordance with Belgian and European law, the client has a legal right of withdrawal within 14 days of purchase, unless the session is scheduled before the end of this period.
- By accepting these terms, the client acknowledges that if the session is scheduled before the legal withdrawal period expires, the right of withdrawal can no longer be exercised once the service has started.
- Apart from this legal framework, any cancellation must be made at least 48 hours before the session. After this deadline, the session is non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
5. Client’s Technical Responsibilities
- The client must have Internet access and the necessary equipment to use the chosen chat platform, chosen in agreement with the teacher. The client is responsible for having an alternative connection method (e.g., smartphone, 4G).
- Issues in attending the session, totally or partially, that are the responsibility of the client will not give right to a rescheduled session or a refund.
- In case of connection issues on the client’s side, a 5-minute grace period is allowed to reconnect. This time may be added to the end of the session.
6. Teacher’s Responsibilities
- In case of connection issues on the teacher’s side, any time not delivered will be rescheduled and provided at no extra cost. No refund can be requested.
7. Use of Content
- Conversations, corrections, and advice provided may be reused in an anonymized form for educational purposes, for example to illustrate articles or learning materials, for example in posts or learner material published on “Lis et écris en français !”, or any other media belonging to the teacher.
8. Storage of Conversations
- The client retains access to the exchanges as long as they keep access to the chosen chat platform.
- It is the client’s responsibility to save or keep records of the conversations.
9. Prices
The applicable prices are those indicated at the time of booking. They are expressed in euros and include all applicable taxes.
10. Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by Belgian law.
In the event of a dispute, the parties will seek an amicable solution. Failing that, the competent courts will be those of the judicial district of the business’s registered address.
